Construction of Washrack for Air National Guard
The scope of work for this project included the construction of pre-engineered steel weather canopies over the vehicle wash-racks at four Western Washington Air National Guard sties. The specifications required provided engineered shop drawings depicting the structure to be supplied, including the foundation type and design to be used for these structures. Designs took into consideration the size of equipment to be washed, runoff wash water treatment and disposal, provisions to inhibit wind-driven rain and sheet runoff into canopied areas and consequently into the oil/water separators. At these four locations, the average canopy size was 20' by 40'. In addition to the structures we also extended utilities to provide water, power, air, and sewer drainage systems. Site restoration was also performed, which included painting of the canopy, as well as landscaping.
