UST, AST Removal and Replacement - Paradise, Mt. Rainier, WA

Work under the contract consisted of conducting state-regulated remedial action and investigation at various locations as well as performing a facility upgrade. Specific features of work include the preparation of site specific work plans, demolishing an existing fueling systems, removing underground storage tanks, excavation and off-site thermal treatment of contaminated soils, and installing an above-ground fueling system for emergency generator. In addition various locations within the park required follow-up site investigation by means of well drilling sampling, analysis and report preparation.

Project Performance

Located in Mt. Rainier National Park, this project was conducted in a sensitive environment, and therefore presented challenges appropriate with work performed in a National Park. Despite these unique challenges, the project was a success.
