Thermal Treatment of Hyrdrocarbons at Shipyard No1- Seattle, WA
This project involved the thermal treatment of hydrocarbons at a former ship construction facility in the puget sound. This former ship building facility was one of four operable units on the Harbor Island Superfund site in Seattle, Washington. The contract included the thermal treatment of hydrocarbons and was awarded as outlined in the Record of Decision due to proven ability to successfully treat soils with high hydrocarbon concentrations as well as due to an excellent regulatory compliance history in the region. Remedial activities included air quality permitting, contaminated soil conditioning and thermal treatment.
