Oil / Gas Field Construction - Savanna, Oklahoma

The Phoinix Group provided all labor, equipment and materials to conduct construction of the facilities supporting gas and oil field drilling operations at this site operated by PetroQuest in a remote area of the state of Oklahoma.

The scope of work for this project involved many different disciplines within the environmental construction industry. Phoinix completed construction of multiple 340' by 250' drilling rig pads within an extremely small time frame; clearing, grubbing and grading the construction areas as appropriate. The drilling rig pads also required installation of a 2' shale rock compacted sub base with a 4" crushed rock finish base. Drill mud and water pits were excavated and constructed, sized 100 feet square and 6 feet deep.

Phoinix also installed well pad location appurtenances, including cattle guards, sills, and fencing. Rock blasting was completed as required and managed and overseen by Phoinix. Access roads were constructed and maintained to all drill pad locations, and existing roads graded and completed with a gravel finish base. Phoinix also provided rough grade right of way for pipe laying installation and crew access.

Site Restoration Activities were conducted after the drill rigs was moved off-site, and wells were installed and operational. Phoinix completed the removal and disposition of spent drilling muds and water as appropriate to the environment, and final grading and hydro-seeding of the site was completed.

Project Performance

Despite the extremely tight schedule and remote location, supply and weather difficulties, the project was successfully within the tight schedule requirements of the contract.
