Building Demolition at McChord AFB - Tacoma, WA

This contract included the abatement and demolition of Building 503 located on McChord AFB, Washington. The size of this structure measured approximately 20,000 square feet and was mainly comprised of wood construction. Acting as prime contractor, the work consisted of preparation prior to demolition and abatement activities, as well as performing the demolition itself and subsequent site cleanup and utility abandonment. The crew performed all appropriate evironmental surveys and assessments, removal and disposal of lead based paint and asbestos, utility removal and abandonment, building demolition and site grading.

Project Performance

This project was completed within the allowed contract time and within contract budget. The Department of the Air Force performance evaluation rated the performance of management, relations, and schedule as 'very good'. Quality of service and product was rated as the highest rating available; 'exceptional'. Additional commendation was expessed, calling the firm and it's employees 'Conscientious' and 'Highly Professional'.
